Landfill Vouchers 8-24-2009
A gift from the city of Lancaster. Look in your waste management bill, they give you 2 vouchers for free dumping. This is good for 2 trips to the landfill you can have up to 1 ton of trash which if you want to know is 2,000Lbs. That's a total of 4,000Lbs. of trash. They do not accept any hazardous materials. The list of items they wont take is on the vouchers. The vouchers are good until 6/30/2010. Happy Hauling

ok... still trying to be optimistic and not a negative nancy...
ReplyDeleteYou mean unless you have these "gift" vouchers from the city, you have to pay to use the landfill? You actually have to pay the city to dispose of your trash? (You can tell I have never owned a house) In a sims game I played once, if I didnt have trash cleaned up in the city, those areas would become ghetto's and riots would break out.
I was also going to ask, who has a ton of trash at once? But I guess if you cant afford to take your trash to the landfill, it piles up in your house. Ewww... then you have 90 cats running around the house at once too.
Russ you need to come with me when I view properties you would be so suprised. And dont say that its just the Antelope Valley. I was reading about this lady in Santa Clarita. Her house was only 1400 sq ft. they needed 4 of the huge trash containers to take her trash away.
ReplyDeleteThanks for posting you are in the drawing for the cert. I will post the winner on Mon 31.
And to answer your question. You dont pay the city. You pay waste management when you take your trash to the land fill, your stuff is weighed and you are charged by weight. Unlike sims every month you get a bill from waste management to take your weekly trash away. We will have no trash piling up on our strrets young man. Have agreat day Russ
ReplyDeletethen this is a good start... but in regards to green... I think we (our fine city we live in) went from black to brown... Green, here we come!
ReplyDeleteAnd it can be added that the vouchers are for "extra" trash, like when you clean out your garage or attic and decide to throw away the junk you've had in there for 10+ years. My only problem is that most of the stuff I need to get rid of like that is considered the hazardous waste, i.e. old computers, old half-empty paint cans, that nuclear reactor that's just collecting dust...
