So You Have Keys to You New Home

A few items you might want to do now that you are the proud owner of a  home.

1. Call a locksmith and have your outside doors re-keyed. Who knows who has a spare key.
2. You need to get the utilities turned on. I would start this before move in day.
3. Replace batteries in smoke detectors.
4. Bring a box with light bulbs, batteries 9v for smoke detectors, trash bags, TOILET PAPER, seams everyone
wants to use the bathroom on the first day. Also a plunger, because Murphy's Law says"since everyone
is using the restroom I might as go ahead and overflow and get clogged".
5. Bring cleaning supplies: paper towels, soap, bathroom cleaner, broom and dust pan.
6. Band aides, this is to stop the blood from getting on the new carpet from your kid finding the only piece of
    glass in an empty house.
7. Bring cell phone and charger, basic tools: hammer, screwdrivers both kinds, ladder and pliers
8. Change codes on automatic garage opener
9. Check sprinkler timer: So when the movers come with the new furniture that they have unloaded on
the front lawn, they don't get a shower. Has happened, don't laugh.
